At Ardrossan Harbour, there is a direct link rail service that connects with all the crossing to Arran from Glasgow Central.  The closet airports to the Isle of Arran are Glasgow and Prestwick. 

 

If taking the Brodick ferry, drive south, through Lamlash and Whiting Bay, to Kildonan.  There will be a bus service from every ferry. (Service No: 323 bus).  At the crossroads in Kildonan, turn left to follow the road down.  You will pass the Kildonan Hotel and then a few minutes later, the villiage hall.  Ethvin is the 6th house on the right along the road.

 

If you are taking the Lochranza ferry, drive south until reaching Brodick and follow the directions above.
